In order to do a proper repair one has to understand how carbon fiber works and what gives it its unique qualities. Calculated considerations have to be taken of weave (warp/fill) directions of the fibers, the different directions of the weave from layer to layer as well as the matrix system used in the laminate, etc. The parts can be repaired with great success to retain the original properties as the undamaged structure.
What sets Ruckus apart from other carbon fiber repair centers is:
We actually study every repair and take extensive notes and photographs. We aim to use this data to help redesign the manufacturing processes of carbon fiber frames. As our sample populations grow, so does our understanding of different failure modes and ways of preventing those failure modes.
We provide custom finishing services, this can include custom paint and decals or if you are interested we have the ability to fully strip your frame or fork to the raw carbon for the ultimate stealth finish.

With our fabrication and prototyping capabilities we have the ability to do what many repair shops can’t. We can fabricate many new parts, e.g. cable stops, fender eyelets, and even replace broken aluminum dropouts with custom machined ones.

We perform all of our services from inspection to finishing all within in our laboratory.
We have a honest desire to save bicycles from the landfill, discredit carbon fiber myths, and to educate people about carbon fiber. If you have a question or a repair inquiry use the handy form on the right and include what kind of damage it is and how the damage happened and we’ll take it from there!
