Anything for love

As time goes on we have worked with many other carbon fiber repair businesses, but like Meat Loaf they will do anything for you but they won’t do THAT. If you are wondering what they won’t do for love we found out it is aluminum dropout replacement.

 

We received a pair of matching frames this week that both had corroding aluminum dropouts that required full extraction and replacement; the main caveat is that replacement dropouts aren’t available anywhere. Instead of walking these frames down the street to the recycling center we’ll fabricate a prototype and then CNC machine an exact replacement of a different grade of aluminum to put back into the frames. We’ll post some follow-up photos for the finished worked next week.
